AXIS SYLLABUS

TEACHERS Nuvola Vandini

The Axis Syllabus is a repository of useful information regarding the use, preparation, treatment, structure, function, limits and potential of the human body in motion. The Axis Syllabus is sincere support for a collective effort towards individual health sovereignty. It is constantly reviewed, modified, updated and monitored for the truthfulness and usefulness of health and well-being. It is not intended to instruct, but to inform, in the understanding that the only kind of consent is informed and in the recognition and respect of consent as the modern moral basis for all social interaction. Axis Syllabus yes  consolidates at the end of the 90s thanks to careful and passionate work  by the choreographer, dancer, pedagogue Frey Faust e  to the contribution of an international network of artists, therapists, scientists, movement professionals who over time have gathered around Frey and who continue to nourish research.

PLAY - FIGHT

Play-Fight is a physical practice that emerged from Bruno Caverna's research and multidirectional experience that amalgamates the cooperative qualities of contact improvisation and partner-dance, with the refined principles of confrontation of capoeira and internal martial arts. Through an exploration that goes beyond physical movement and the study of shapes, Play-Fight is a real training in observing and listening to oneself  in relation to one's own expressive needs and constant confrontation with the other, a practice that reveals the multiple aspects and infinite possibilities of human interaction in all its creative potential. Its main teaching is to maintain one's physical integrity and a calm and resilient mind in the face of moments of potential risk that arise spontaneously during an interaction that combines play with struggle.

 

OPTIONAL CLASSES FOR HUMUS STUDENTS:  

INSIDE <> OUTSIDE - Permanent physical theater laboratory for children aged 14 to 18, aimed at creating a stable company.

This lesson is particularly suitable for those with an interest in education .

TEACHERS Anna Albertarelli

It takes the form of three pedagogical blocks:

1-Semiotics of the body - Anatomical investigations for artistic creation.  The  body and some of its anatomical systems experienced and interpreted as possible creative signs.  We will analyze the skeletal, muscular, epidermal, respiratory systems and their integration  through exploration and improvisation exercises in statics and dynamics, alone or in pairs, but also in decoding the experience.  We will let the anatomy of the body accompany us in the imagination and bring it to the surface  "Spiritus phantasticus".

2- Physical theater - The character / person / presence.  Once the body has learned to recognize anatomical systems in its decoding  symbolic / semantic we move on to the construction of an alphabet  of the gesture and the slow construction of a panorama of expressive qualities to make him become a character or that he can tell about moods and emotions or act as an intermediary to metaphorical concepts; then the sequence is transformed and the formal model is dismantled by: (is this correct or is a word missing somewhere?)

Personality-intention-reaction-rhythm-energy-presence-neutrality.  

Knowing how to manage them all  things means bringing nuances and details, body and thickness into the movement technique.  Theater improvisation:

At this stage, importance will be given to rhythm, to work on the energy levels to be brought to the stage and to the possibility of passing from the comic to the tragic to the grotesque, through exercises drawn from the techniques of contemporary physical theater and improvisation.

 

3-Possible dramaturgies  

Iconography as a support to the scenic representation.  Analysis and research on how, what to tell with which creative expressive languages.  Relationship between sound, body / movement, interpretation and image.
